Getting Ready…

T-Minus six weeks and counting….


This is the first 100-meter three round group I shot with the Howa 1500 in 300 Win mag that I am taking to Namibia in August. I didn’t even bother working with the rest of the factory ammo I brought. This is an excellent start for a factory sporting rifle and I’m betting it will tighten up nicely with a few more trips to the range. I don’t think I’ve shot a Howa that wouldn’t hold MOA or better at 100 yards with factory ammo. They make me smile.

Why a Blog?



I get asked frequently, “Why aren’t you on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat etc etc etc”?

I don’t partake for a few different reasons. First off I won’t support companies like Facebook because I don’t like what they do or what they stand for. Most companies like them have their own political agendas and people often post there under the mistaken impression that they own their pages and content. They don’t. The social media platform does and it sets the standard for what you may and may not do when using their systems. That being said companies like Facebook have a right to do what they want with the content posted on their pages – they own it. And I have a right to not post there. So I don’t. It’s that simple.
