Legacy Sports International announced it would now be offering the Howa Long-Range Rifle to the United States shooting market. The guns are sold solo and as complete rifle packages that include a variable power scope.

At the heart of the gun is the Howa 1500 Precision Barreled Action. Howa uses a 26″ heavy barrel on this gun for both of the offered calibers: 6.5 Creedmoor and .308 Win. The barrels are threaded and come with a thread protector. Suppressors and brakes are on you.

Howa uses a Bell & Carlson stock in a varmint configuration with a high cheekpiece. On the back end of the stock is a 1″ Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. Stocks are available in two colors: desert tan and green.

As I mentioned, the guns can be purchased as scoped packages. Both calibers ship with a Nikko Stirling Diamond 4-16x 44 scope. This is a first focal plane scope. The scope has dual illumination: both red and green to match your shooting conditions. According Legacy Sports, the scope is “magnum rated,” so I would expect that it should stand up to a lot of shooting.
