E-petition 2341 is currently the second most signed official e-petition to The House of Commons in Canadian history and has the potential to become the most signed.

The petition calls on the Government of Canada to cease plans to push through massive firearm bans/reclassification via an Order in Council (OIC) and to put any/all proposed changes in legislation to the full house of Commons to ensure that due democratic process is adhered to.

Our “Gun Community” must come together in providing a unified voice against this hostile action against our sport/hobby/livelihood;  the most immediate way to do this is through this petition.

Please sign and share this petition.

Not Free Speech

A few weeks ago we published an ad like we always do, with a variety of papers in the Fraser Valley region, for our annual Pre Christmas sale. We’ve been doing this for close to a decade. Shortly after we published this ad a letter was written to The Chilliwack Progress defaming our company and stating that our ad was “proof” that we were selling guns to gangs in the region.

Here is a link to the letter in question:

Now, I’m a huge believer in free speech but accusing a business like mine of committing a criminal act is not, to put it mildly, playing nice. I asked for the paper to retract the comment and issue an apology. We can disagree on a wide variety of issues and debate them openly but we don’t get to accuse others of committing crimes in the process.

Unfortunately, my request fell on deaf ears.

So that leaves me with one last option.

It is my sincere hope that this issue will still be resolved. I have always had a good relationship with The Chilliwack Progress and I would like it to continue. But this has to be fixed.

Sincerely,
Scott Carpenter, Owner – International Shooting Supplies Ltd.
